Meg is an actress and a multi-award winning comedian and filmmaker. Having won the prestigious William and Katherine Longman Scholarship to train at LAMDA, she graduated with a role in Brian Percival's BBC One drama A Song For Jenny opposite Emily Watson. Other credits include Call The Midwife (BBC), Downton Abbey (ITV), The Head Hunter (Amazon Prime), The Sam Wanamaker Festival (Shakespeare’s Globe) and Oedipus (The Almeida).
Most recently she filmed an episode of Call the Midwife (BBC) and starred in a viral music video for Easy Life. Meg is also developing a Muriel sketch show for TV with BBC Studios, which she will write, star in and executive produce alongside Janine Harouni and Sally O’Leary.
Muriel, hailed as the ‘New Smack the Pony’ (Chortle & Evening Standard) are best known for their viral online sketches. Their most recent collaborations with BBC Studios remain some of BBC Three’s most viewed and engaged-with sketches to date. Their most recent sketch, Asking for It, garnered 50million views worldwide. Their critically acclaimed debut show Bad Master enjoyed a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and two sold out runs at the Soho Theatre. They are also the proud winners of the Leicester Square Sketch-Off and the So You Think You’re Funny Sketch Competition.
As an independent film maker, Meg is the winner of both the First Light Award in association with BAFTA and the Film Nation Award in association with the Cultural Olympiad. She was selected for the 2020-2021 BFI Network x BAFTA Crew, and is currently developing several projects for Film and TV including her comedy-drama DISGRACE with Red Productions, GET AWAY with Eleventh Hour Films, X vs. Y with Wild Mercury, INK with RubyRock and a new show for Nicola Shindler at Quay Street Productions. She is also writing an episode for upcoming thriller, THE RIG
for Wild Mercury/Amazon (dir. John Strickland).

Muriel are an international sketch trio comprised of multi-award winning comedians/actors/writers Janine Harouni, Sally O’Leary and Meg Salter.
